I explored the concept of the countryside while staying true to the brand’s DNA. My goal was to reinterpret the classic Aran sweater in a way that felt both authentic and contemporary.

I began by researching vintage pieces, gathering iconographic references, and analyzing past cable-knit designs created for the brand. This allowed me to carefully select specific stitch patterns and develop knit panels to achieve the perfect combination of textures.

To enhance the depth of the cables, I chose a fleck yarn, adding subtle contrast and dimension. While the sweater needed to remain in a sober color palette, black was the preferred choice. To make it more visually engaging, I introduced white and gray flecks within the yarn, creating a refined yet dynamic effect.

This approach maintains the timeless appeal of Aran knitwear while offering a fresh perspective tailored to the brand’s aesthetic.
